As a resident of Newton County since 1967, David knows the area like few others in the business. David comes from a family of local educators...his dad is a retired assistant principal and athletic director at Newton County High and is still active as an assistant football coach. His mother is a retired choral director at Newton County High, and his brother is assistant principal and athletic director at Alcovy High. David spent 22 years in education as a social studies teacher and coach. He has one daughter, Lauren, who received a minor in vocal performance from the University of Georgia, and is now a senior majoring in global studies at Penn State University.
